Nextel renews customer care contract with ACS

DALLAS-Nextel Communications has renewed its business process outsourcing (BPO) contract with ACS, allowing the company to continue to handle Nextel’s customer care operations. The five-year renewal contract is valued at $290 million.

ACS, which has provided customer care services for Nextel for more than four years, will handle more than 1 million calls per month on behalf of Nextel under the renewed agreement.
