MIAMI-X-Cell Technologies Inc. announced the completion of its removable wireless module for mobile devices. The module, which supports 2.5-generation and third-generation CDMA and GSM technologies, can be used in wireless devices as well as personal digital assistants or computers, imparting cellular capability to all devices.
“This will give manufacturers the ability to build host devices around our removable modules and give the cellular operators the ability to make a profit on the initial wireless module sale,” said Victor Mims, chief executive officer of X-Cell.
