Spanish triple-play telecom company Ono plans to begin a mobile virtual network operator business later this year, using the network of wireless carrier Telefonica.
Ono said in a recent statement that it had reached a preliminary deal with Telefonica that would go into effect in the second half of this year.
The Spanish telecommunications company obtained a license to operate an MVNO last year. It has more than 1.8 million customers to whom it offers landline telephone, cable and Internet services.
