IC solution vendors landing more orders for entry-level smartphones and tablet PCs

As the entry-level to mid-range smartphones are expected to serve as killer applications in the device market in the second half of 2011 as well as in 2012, a number of Taiwan-based IC design houses reportedly have landed more orders for their low-cost solutions, according to industry sources.
