Boost launches ‘hybrid prepaid’ service

IRVINE, Calif.—Boost Mobile said it is launching a nationwide “hybrid prepaid” service that combines elements of traditional prepaid service with additional benefits like lower per-minute pricing, push-to-talk service and unlimited night and weekend calling.

The company said the new service is a response to customer demand for more pay-as-you-go options.

Customers can sign up for plans online or directly from their handset. The Boost Premium Prepaid plans include three monthly rate packages of $30, $50 and $70.
