Google rolls out tablet version of search page

Google has begun experimenting with a more tablet hugging search page, according to reports.
The search engine giant apparently realizes that when it comes to serving up content on a slew of different devices, one size definitely does not fit all, and is therefore redesigning its iconic search page to fit snugly onto a smaller touch screen.
To give the mobile version a cleaner look and feel, the great Goog has reportedly moved the sidebar down, positioning it under the search field itself.
There are also easier ways to move through multiple search pages, according to the screenshots we’ve seen.

Thus far, Google has only rolled out the new search page to a few select users, ironically iPad owners. When Android users can expect to see the new and improved tablet search page remains to be seen, but we wouldn’t have thought it could be too far behind.
