REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.-Hudson Entertainment said it has partnered with The Orchard in a publishing deal that aims to offer mobile content from Delicious Vinyl to mobile phones.
The companies said the agreement includes the rights to master ringtones for artists such as Tone-Loc, Young MC and The Pharcyde. The ringtones are available through major carriers in the United States as well as through The Source mobile channel, said the companies. Hudson will promote the content through various The Source programs, it said. The Source is a hip-hop magazine.
“Our relationship with The Orchard enables us to reintroduce the legends of Delicious Vinyl via a whole new medium,” said Mike Samachisa, chief operating officer of Hudson Entertainment. “Hudson is committed to bringing hip-hop fans new content, and our feature editorial and promotions add value for partners looking to reach this market.”
