AskMeNow expands advertising efforts in mobile search

IRVINE, Calif.—Mobile search company AskMeNow said it partnered with Ingenio Inc. and Third Screen Media to bolster its AdSwers advertising program, which provides targeted messages within answers to queries made by AskMeNow’s customers.

Ingenio provides pay-per-call advertising and Third Screen provides Web-based mobile ad management services. AskMeNow’s service allows users to ask questions in “natural language” and receive answers on their cell phone. The AdSwers service adds advertiser messages.

AskMeNow said its agreement with Third Screen Media helps the company manage the sale and placement of graphical advertisements in the AdSwers program. The company’s agreement with Ingenio calls for it to incorporate Ingenio Pay Per Call listings in the AdSwers program.

“Pay Per Call advertising is emerging as a primary ad model for mobile search,” said Marc Barach, chief marketing officer of Ingenio. “We’re looking forward to working with AskMeNow to continue to put our advertisers in front of qualified consumers—wherever they may be.”
