LOS ANGELES—Amp’d Mobile Inc. plans to launch a pay-as-you go service Wednesday, according to the mobile virtual network operator’s Web site.
Pricing information was not immediately available from the MVNO.
Amp’d Mobile is touting its prepaid offering as “the first pay-as-you-go 3G wireless phone service” and indicated that prepaid customers would have access to full-length music track downloads for 99 cents, 3D games and video downloads, along with the company’s push-to-talk service.
Amp’d Mobile is currently selling two of its three handset for $50 after a $50 instant rebate. The MVNO’s postpaid plans range from $30 to $150 per month with an 18 month contract.
