PLEASANTON, Calif.—FunMail Inc. is teaming with Major League Baseball Advanced Media to deliver images, voice tones and other content from all 30 of its teams.
Images are available through Verizon Wireless, Alltel Corp., U.S. Cellular Corp. and other BREW-based carriers in the United States and Latin America. Voice tones, including play-by-play of noted performances, are available only from Verizon Wireless.
“Now fans can use classic World Series play-by-play calls such as the Red Sox final out in 2004 or Kirk Gibson’s pinch-hit home run in 1988 as ringtones for their mobile phone,” said Adam Lavine, FunMail’s chief executive officer.
