RESTON, Va.—Sprint Nextel Corp. announced new wireless pricing plans for business customers that focus on walkie-talkie and mobile-to-mobile options, as well as shared minutes.
The Sprint Business Essentials offering provides a bucket of minutes that can be shared across multiple users and rate plans on the same account and network, plus a choice of unlimited Sprint mobile-to-mobile calling for PCS customers or unlimited nationwide walkie-talkie services for those using the Nextel network. PCS customers can add Sprint’s Ready Link walkie-talkie service for $5 per user per month for unlimited access, and Nextel customers can get unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling for the same price. Sprint Nextel added that wireless data services are available at $10 to$20 per phone, and wireless broadband service via Sprint’s CDMA 1x 2000 EV-DO network can be added for $40 monthly for 40 Megabits, or up to $80 for an unlimited monthly plan.
“Business customers can mix and match rate plans and enjoy the ease of adding phones or rate plans as business needs change without extensive contract changes or negotiations, thus creating a customized wireless solution to meet their calling needs,” said Vicki Warker, vice president of marketing and product for Sprint Business Solutions.
