PLAINFIELD, Ind.—Mobile phone distributor Brightpoint North America L.P. announced it expanded its warehouse space with the addition of a new 321,000-square-foot facility.
Brightpoint said the new facility would be located at the company’s headquarters in Plainfield, Indiana. Brightpoint currently operates 560,000 square feet of warehouse space.
“We believe that our strategic location and committed workforce in Plainfield are significant contributors to our recent success. This expansion will position us to continue to grow as the leading provider of outsourced supply chain services in the U.S.,” stated J. Mark Howell, president of Brightpoint Inc. and Brightpoint Americas.
Brightpoint said its U.S. operations handled 24 million phones last year. The company handled a total of 42 million phones last year.
