Kodak, Cingular, Nokia embark on camera-phone initiative

ROCHESTER, N.Y.-Eastman Kodak Co. reported agreements with Cingular Wireless L.L.C. and Nokia Corp. to provide mobile imaging services and initiatives designed to help customers get more out of their camera-enabled handsets.

The agreements center around Kodak’s Mobile Service that will allow Cingular subscribers to store and access their mobile images directly through their handsets for $3 per month. In addition, Kodak said it will offer digital image printing from handsets using Bluetooth or infrared technologies at its 24,000 retail kiosks across the country beginning in January.
