Asia-Pacific is expected to account for more than half of the more than 45,000 commercial hot-spot locations in the world by the end of the year, according to a report last week by Pyramid Research.
The report notes that while trailing in worldwide deployments, both the United States and Europe are expected to take an increasing share of the commercial hot-spot market pie. Pyramid analyst John Yunker added that commercial hot-spot deployments have increased over the past three months and that he expects to see more than 100,000 commercial hot spots around the world by early 2005.
