Purring Kitty app extended to U.S., China, Brazil

LONDON-UK-based mobile software company Vibelet.com is to extend support for a range of handsets with its Purring Kitty application. The company has also added a new global payment and delivery system for the product.

The Purring Kitty Java Midlet developed by Vibelet, which transforms cell phones with vibrating ring capabilities into a “discrete, vibrating massager,” can now be purchased and downloaded in a number of countries outside Europe, including China, Brazil and the United States.

Previously only available for Nokia phones, the software is downloaded to a phone for a nominal sum via a WAP link. Once installed, an image of a contented cat is displayed on the phone’s screen with a start-and-pause
function.

“Since the Purring Kitty was launched in April, many thousands of copies have been sold,” said Zoe Walsh of Vibelet. “With today’s announcement the Kitty can purr on millions of handsets all over the globe!”
