MUNICH, Germany-Siemens’ funding arm continued its investment spree, this time announcing an investment in Israeli mobile content company Ki-Bi Mobile Technologies Ltd. Financial details were not disclosed.
Ki-Bi Mobile offers a memory-based card similar to a phone card, which allows mobile-phone users to dial a number and access wireless data content by holding the card to the microphone of the mobile phone. The sensor on the card activates a mobile content server, and users can download ring tones, games and other content.
Siemens’ Mobile Acceleration funding arm has recently announced investments in Mobile Wisdom, Rock Mobile and Realeyes 3D.
