Verizon Wireless is selling a new Casio mobile device designed for construction and utilities workers and public-safety personnel who work under harsh conditions. The Casio G’zOne Brigade features a QWERTY keyboard; an HTML browser; and Document Viewer for reviewing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents. In addition is has push-to-talk capabilities.
The horizontal clamshell handset also has a 3.2 megapixal camera is video-capable and comes in matte black for $250 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract. Verizon said it customers need to purchase a $10-per month data package, which includes 25 megabytes with Mobile Email or can add PTT services for $5 per month per line on top of a qualifying voice plan.
