A group of M2M veterans has launched Connected Development, a project outsourcing company that provides end-to-end design and development, certification and manufacturing processes for bringing new wireless M2M devices to market.
The Connected Development concept was developed by Stefan Lindvall in an attempt to simplify the wireless development cycle.
“Often, companies trying to gain the advantages of wireless find the learning curve steep and expensive, just to get started,” said Lindvall. “And once they’ve invested in product design, they can be overwhelmed by the certification process. We formed Connected Development to simplify the entire process, eliminate the barriers to entry and enable wireless innovation for better business and better living.”
Lindvall, who will serve as president of Connected Development, has 20 years of experience in the wireless industry, including positions with Ericsson, Sony Ericsson and Wavecom. Joining him are Dave Hoover, vice president of research and development, and Ross Brown, vice president, Validation & Certification Services.
The company is headquartered in North Carolina’s Research Triangle area.
