NEW ORLEANS-Audiovox Communications Corp. launched new wireless phones this week at the CTIA show in New Orleans.
The CDM-8400 series includes moderately priced tri-mode CDMA phones with full-color displays, two-way built-in speaker phone and voice-activated dialing The CDM-8400 and CDM-8450 handsets are cdma2000 1x capable and also include BREW capability depending on the network.
The phones also provide Web browsing capability, e-mail and mobile-commerce functions and two-way short message service.
Audiovox also launched the CDM-8600, a tri-mode, cdma2000 1x-capable handset equipped with the MSM6000 chipset with GPS location positioning technology and a variety of features including two-way SMS, voice-activated dialing and a vibrating alert.
The handset supports high-speed connectivity for Web browsing, e-mail and m-comerce, as well as BREW capabilities.
