MUNICH, Germany-Infineon Technologies North America Corp. has acquired the assets of MorphICs Technology Inc. to strengthen its Internet Protocol portfolio for multistandard next-generation wireless solutions.
The deal takes effect March 31.
“The acquisition is an example of the Infineon strategy to expand our portfolio in key growth segments and add world-class know-how, technology and expertise of highly specialized companies,” said Ulrich Hamann, chief executive officer of secure mobile solutions at Infineon Technologies AG, the parent of the merging company.
MorphICs makes configurable digital baseband circuits for terminal devices and base stations for third-generation wireless communications.
