WOODBURY, N.Y.-Messaging and data company Comverse released a new version of its wireless data gateway product, which the company said supports WAP 2.0 standards.
Comverse said the Mobile Data Gateway version 4 can support new color handsets, multimedia and photo messaging, mobile e-mail and Java applications such as games.
“We believe that the advanced Comverse MDG engine, which features automatic content adaptation and color optimization, embodies the spirit of WAP 2.0, increasing usability and enhancing user experience, especially in the emerging multimedia era,” said Eran Yaniv, general manager for Comverse’s Mobile Data Division.
