Verizon sells LG phone

SAN DIEGO-LG Mobile Phones said Verizon Wireless has begun retailing its new VX2000 tri-mode phone for $70, as part of a two-year service agreement, through the carrier’s direct sales channels and at RadioShack stores nationwide.

The candy-bar-size VX2000, which connects to Verizon Wireless Express Network, offers digital talk time of more than three hours and analog talk time of nearly two hours, with five-day digital standby time and 18 hours analog standby time. The phone, which has bilingual English and Spanish capabilities, also offers one-touch access to voice mail.
