NEW YORK-Nextel Communications Inc. reported a deal with mobile entertainment provider Zingy to supply polyphonic ringtones for Nextel customers using Motorola Inc.’s i95cl and i90c handsets.
Zingy will offer hundreds of 16-cord Midi ringtone song titles, which the company said provide richer, fuller sounding compositions compared with traditional monophonic ringtones.
“Nextel users are successful and professional, but still value features that allow them to show a bit of personality in their communications,” said Eileen Mercilliott, director of product management at Nextel.
