GREENSBORO, N.C.-RF Micro Devices Inc. has acquired Resonext Communications Inc., which provides integrated CMOS WLAN solutions for 802.11 and multiband platforms, building on RFMD’s 802.11 portfolio.
“We believe our combined strengths and unique technology will position RFMD to become the leading provider of WLAN chipsets,” said Jerry Neal, executive vice president of marketing and strategic development, adding that RFMD expects to achieve “double-digit sequential growth in units and dollars in the December quarter.”
