Video: Emphasis on device quality and price at CommunicAsia

SINGAPORE — Here on the show floor at CommunicAsia, there’s been a strong emphasis on quality in the wealth and breadth of phones and devices on hand. From curved screens to fast chipsets and hot-swappable SIMs to loud speakers, a flurry of new devices are set to hit store shelves soon.
Some of the standout devices thus far include the N9 from Nokia Corp. (NOK) and the BlackBerry 9900 from Research In Motion Ltd. (RIMM). There’s also a plethora of new tablets on display, particularly some affordable offerings from Chinese vendors Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. and ZTE Corp., including the former’s recently announced MediaPad.
