SUNNYVALE, Calif.-Advanced Micro Devices said it plans to lay off 2,000 workers, amounting to 15 percent of its staff.
The company has notified 1,000 workers.
“As part of our ongoing strategy, we are taking decisive measures to reduce operating and capital expenditures,” said Hector Ruiz, AMD’s president and chief executive officer.
