LAS VEGAS-Research In Motion Ltd. unveiled two data and voice-enabled BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds on the opening day of CTIA’s Wireless I.T. & Internet in Las Vegas.
The Java-based BlackBerry 6710 and BlackBerry 6720, which each include an integrated speaker and microphone, offer e-mail, phone, SMS, browser and organizer applications. The 6710 supports GSM/GPRS networks in the 900/1900 MHz frequencies in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific, while the dual band 6720 operates on GSM/GPRS networks in the 900/1800 MHz frequencies, allowing travel between Europe and Asia Pacific.
