CAIRO, Egypt-Orascom Telecom Holding said it sold its shares in Yemen mobile operator Sabafone to Al Ahmar Group for US$18.5 million. With the completion of the transaction, all litigation between the companies will be dropped in addition to the legal actions against the former employees of Sabafon.
Orascom also said it has signed binding agreements for the sale of 10 of its 14 Sub-Sahara African assets and is focused on closing the transactions as part of its divestiture program.
