DENVER-BVRP Software USA licensed Novatel Wireless Inc. to bundle BVRP’s Mobile PhoneTools connectivity software with its Merlin G201 and G301 Wireless PC Modems.
BVRP said the software is designed to automate the set-up of digital wireless cellular connections on a laptop or personal digital assistant and includes a “Wizard” with built-in GPRS and CDMA network and device profiles to enable “one-click” connectivity configuration.
The software also provides a suite of wireless communications applications for the PC or PDA allowing users to place and receive voice calls through the PC card with an image of the user’s cellular phone as the interface for managing phone functions on the screen. In addition the software supports short message service, e-mail, fax, synchronization, voice and ring tone management.
BVRP noted the software is compatible with Windows 98, 98 SE, ME, 2000, NT 4.0 and XP operating systems, and supports MS Outlook, Outlook Express and Lotus Notes.
