BEIJING-China’s largest mobile operator China Mobile Communication Corporation (CMCC) has awarded contracts to Ericsson to supply equipment for its multimedia messaging service (MMS) centers and peripherals in Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Ericsson has supplied more than 80 MMS test systems worldwide and received orders to supply more than 30 commercial MMS systems.
China Mobile will launch its MMS services nationwide in China in October.
