GREENSBORO, N.C.-RF Micro Devices Inc. announced it will ship five components to a top-tier handset manufacturer for use in a high-volume TDMA handset.
“These production shipments expand our long-standing relationship with this customer, which we anticipate will grow in the September quarter,” said Bob Bruggeworth, president of RF Micro Devices. “In addition to TDMA, we are shipping into CDMA 1x handsets at this customer, and we expect to announce additional shipments into future handsets.”
The company said shipments of the components, which include two power amplifiers, two driver amplifiers and a dual-band upconverter, are at the multimillion dollar level.
