ATLANTA-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. completed an agreement with WorldCom Inc., allowing WorldCom Wireless customers the opportunity to transfer to Cingular with rate plans comparable to those WorldCom offered. Both companies will send letters to customers explaining the transition process.
“We want to ensure our resale customers with WorldCom Wireless continue to enjoy uninterrupted wireless service, do not have to pay migration fees and can keep their same wireless number,” said Mark Feidler, chief operating officer at Cingular.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
