AMD introduces 64 Megabit flash memory device

SUNNYVALE, Calif.-AMD said it has introduced a 64 Megabit flash memory device, which is also available in a multichip package for high-end handhelds.

“This device supports industry-leading levels of data throughput while consuming significantly less power than competing products in all modes, including up to 95-percent less power consumption in standby mode,” said the company in a statement.
