AJAX, Ontario-Nokia announced it is now selling its RoofTop Wireless Routing fixed wireless mesh network system to carriers and Internet service providers in Canada through a reseller agreement with Tessco Technologies.
Since the RoofTop system became commercially available in the United States during the third quarter 2001, it has been purchased by more than 80 network operators.
“By brining the Nokia RoofTop solution to Canada, we will be able to offer our Canadian customers the same opportunity our U.S. customers are already profiting from-a revolutionary solution for tapping into the rapidly growing residential broadband market space,” said Robert Barnhill, chairman and chief executive officer of TESSCO.
