Strategis Group ceases operations

WASHINGTON—Telecommunications research and analyst firm The Strategis Group ceased operations today.

The firm was founded in 1964 by Martin Malarkey and Archer Taylor. It was known as Malarkey, Taylor and Associates until it acquired wireless research firm EMCI in 1987, and it became MTA-EMCI. The firm eventually took on The Strategis Group name.

The firm employed approximately 20 analysts and had offices in Washington, London and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
