STOCKHOLM, Sweden—Telecom gear maker Ericsson AB has confirmed that it is in talks with German chipmaker Infineon over a possible sale of or partnership with Ericsson’s microelectronics unit.
Ericsson’s microelectronics unit, which the Swedish company has described as a non-core business, has annual sales of about $236.3 million.
