Merrill Lynch downgrades Intel

NEW YORK—Merrill Lynch downgraded Intel Corp. to “neutral” from “strong buy” as the company prepared for its mid-quarter conference call.

Analyst Joe Osha said he downgraded the chipmaker because of “a lack of visibility into personal computer end market, particularly on the corporate side.”
