TORONTO—Canadian operator Rogers AT&T Wireless reported an agreement with InfoSpace Inc. to launch an English and French-language SMS service dubbed EasyInfo on the carrier’s TDMA and GSM/GPRS network.
The service allows customers to push the pound key on their wireless handset twice followed by a corresponding number to have information delivered to the handset. Accessible information includes traffic reports, movie listings, sports scores and weather forecasts. The service also allows customers to download ringtones and graphics to their wireless phones.
Each information request will cost customers 15 cents, with ringtones beginning at $1.50 each and graphics at $1 each.
