U.S. Cellular to sell Vodafone AirTouch ADRs

CHICAGO—U.S. Cellular Corp. said it entered into contracts with multiple parties relating to its ownership of more than 10 million shares of Vodafone AirTouch plc American Depository Receipts. The carrier said initial proceeds of the approximately $160 million in cash it expects from the sale of the receipts will be used to fund its pending acquisition of the Chicago PrimeCo Wireless Communications L.L.C. property.
