HELSINKI, Finland—Nokia Corp. announced two third-generation contract wins this week, the first with Germany’s E-Plus Mobilfunk and the second with T-Mobile International.
Nokia will be the main supplier for E-Plus’ 3G network in Germany through a $131.4 million contract. Nokia will be the exclusive vendor for E-Plus’ 3G core network and a major supplier of its radio access network. E-Plus is majority owned by KPN Telecom.
In addition, T-Mobile International, the mobile subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, selected Nokia as a major 3G network supplier. The value of the contract was not released.
Deliveries based on the first phase of the agreement will begin soon, Nokia said.
