India added 6.5 million new GSM customers in September, pushing that segments customer base to 618.3 million subscribers, according to the latest data from the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India.
Other highlights of the data include:
- Total number of GSM subscribers increased 1.07% from August to September.
- Uninor had the most of GSM subscriber additions in September adding 1.9 million new customers.
- Airtel had the most GSM subscribers at 172.8 million.
