BEDMINSTER, N.J.—Verizon Wireless launched its America’s Choice calling plans designed to reward customers with the use of its entire network as the home calling area, large buckets of minutes and free long-distance from the plan’s footprint.
The carrier said the plan is available with specified tri-mode CDMA handsets that identify home calling and roaming areas, with pricing plans starting at $35 per month for 300 minutes.
Alltel Corp., a Verizon Wireless roaming partner, also introduced new calling plans designed for its frequent travelling customers. The plans begin at $35 per month for 300 minutes and include no roaming or long-distance charges on the carrier’s network.
