KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—Malaysia plans to award third-generation (3G) licenses to incumbent operators Telekom Malaysia, DiGi.com and Maxis Communications. The government may also waive a US$13 million license fee, according to international press reports.
In November, the government said it would award 3G licenses through a “beauty contest.”
