WASHINGTON—Cibernet, a subsidiary of the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association, released its new Mobile Xchange Protocol, which the company said is designed to allow customers to bill for non-voice services.
Cibernet said its MXP was developed to meet the needs of mobile application developers, wireless carriers, content providers, and billing and mediation vendors. The product is designed to support revenue-sharing business models and provides the flexibility needed to exchange wholesale billing details for any service, including m-commerce, messaging, voice, and data.
