REDMOND, Washington, United States—AT&T Wireless customers can now send text messages to virtually any wireless phone, regardless of carrier, using only the recipient’s phone number.
The inter-carrier text messaging capability, provided by InphoMatch, is available to postpaid and prepaid customers in all the carrier’s markets. Two rate plans are available, including a pay-as-you-go model for US$0.10 per message sent or 100 messages for US$5 per month.
