AirGate revenues increase while net loss falls

ATLANTA-AirGate PCS Inc. reported $62.2 million in total revenue for its fourth fiscal quarter ended Sept. 30, compared with $16.6 million last year. While revenues increased, net loss dropped from $29.1 million, or $2.30 per share, to $25 million, or $1.88 per share, over the same time frame.

The Sprint PCS affiliate said it added 55,622 net subscribers during the quarter, reaching 235,025 subscribers at the end of its fiscal year. Average revenue per user dropped from $63 the previous quarter to $62, while churn remained constant at 2.8 percent.
