Jataayu releases WAP 2.0

BANGALORE, India—Jataayu Software released WAP 2.0, the company’s gateway and browser software that meets the WAP Forum’s specifications for the second generation of Wireless Application Protocol technology, and said it is the first company to have WAP 2.0-based systems.
“WAP 2.0 is a significant improvement over its predecessor, WAP 1.2, and is expected to firmly establish the mobile Internet industry created by the WAP 1.x specification. The WAP 2 standard heralds the use of multimedia content over mobile networks, direct access to http sites and complete end-to-end security among others,” said Mahesh Jain, chief executive officer of Jataayu Software.
