WOBURN, Mass.—Boston Communication Group Inc. signed a contract with Dobson Cellular Systems to expand its Prepaid Wireless Service in Dobson’s markets.
BCGI said its prepaid offering includes nationwide roaming, a distribution technology replenishment program supporting 75,000 recharge locations, real-time rating, SMS billing, mobile commerce and Web-based customer care.
“In addition to the six markets currently supported on the BCGI platform, Dobson will be adding 44 new markets that cover a population area of an additional 9 million [potential customers],” said E.Y. Snowden, president and chief executive officer of BCGI. “Since all of Dobson’s markets will be supported by BCGI, they will be able to offer all subscribers the same enriched features.”
