BELLEVUE, Wash.—InfoSpace Inc. has teamed with Verizon Wireless to allow baseball fans to follow this year’s playoffs on their digital wireless phones.
Verizon Wireless subscribers can sign up on the Verizon Wireless Web site to receive updated alerts that include scores, statistics and other playoff information on their mobile phones. “Even if you can’t get to the game or watch a broadcast, you can know what’s going in the ballparks,” said Gary Schulman, president of the wireless data & Internet division at Verizon Wireless. “This alert service is perfect for baseball lovers.”
