RES makes dictionary products available on Palm PDAs

OTTAWA, Ontario—RES Inc. has now made its wireless LookWAYup dictionary and thesaurus, previously accessible on computers, Web sites and cell phones, available on Palm-powered personal digital assistants.

“Palm users have been very enthusiastic,” said Martin Laplante, vice president of technology at RES. “They sought us out to praise the product, even in its pre-release form.”

According to RES, LookWAYup is currently in use throughout North America, plans are in the works to market it in Europe through a German distributor, and it has been selected for an educational software contract in China. RES said the next release of the product, slated for October, will add French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese translation.
